Bryan Thomas Vik passed away on January 16, 2025 at the University of Washington Medical Center - Northwest in Seattle, WA with his family by his side.

Bryan was born on April 18, 1990 in Maplewood, Minnesota. The majority of his life was spent living in Woodbury, Minnesota until the last four years when he moved away from Minnesota.

Bryan was such a happy, funny, and fun child growing up. He was the comedian in his family. He was involved in Boy Scouts throughout his school years, earning his Eagle Scout Award, the highest award in Boy Scouting. At Woodbury High School he was involved in theatre, holding lead parts in two of the musicals, and was on the Nordic Ski Team. He loved the outdoors, camping, skateboarding, snowboarding, Nordic skiing, rock climbing, fishing, and spending time with his parents and two sisters at home and on vacations. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and his extended family. Bryan graduated from Woodbury High School in 2008. He earned his Associate of Arts degree from Century College in 2014 and his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Metro State University in 2016. Bryan was a hard-worker and no job was beneath him. He especially enjoyed working in landscaping. Bryan's last few years were difficult for him.

Bryan was a joy and a blessing in the lives of his family. They will love him and miss him forever, and will always treasure the many happy memories they have of his life.

Bryan was able to be an organ donor, donating his major organs to four recipients.

Bryan is survived by his parents, Tony and Barbara Vik, two older sisters, Alissa (Ivar) Vik and Jenna (Dave) Bonofiglio, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Alvina Vik and Orville and Marilyn Hanson.

Because of a security guard finding Bryan, starting CPR and calling 911, and the paramedics reviving him, Bryan's whole family was able to fly to Seattle to spend his last days with him.

Bryan was treated like a king in the ICU at UW Medical Center - NW in Seattle. All of the ICU staff and LifeCenter organ donation staff were amazing!

A memorial service for Bryan is planned for June 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Woodbury Lutheran Church - Valley Creek Campus in Woodbury, MN.
