Condolences to Brian's friends & family. I also knew Brian from AAPK and shared his passion for fine cutlery. I always enjoyed looking at all the beautiful knife, vacation, and family pictures he posted, and he was always one of the first to compliment others. Brian was a very kind and generous man, and always willing to share his knowledge and answer any questions I would have about the hobby we love. He will surely be missed.

I only knew Brian as Ivoryman on a knife photography forum we posted to but he was always encouraging and helpful. His beautiful photos and friendly personality will be sorely missed. RIP my friend.

Brian and I met in the 6th grade and went to the same high school. I remember Brian for his trumpet playing and being a fan of Fran Tarkenton and Neil Diamond. We had many classes together and I enjoyed his sense of humor. Our senior year, we played on the church basketball team and we won the Oregon State Championship. Brian had a passion for many things and had many talents. We lost touch after high school, but we did reconnect one evening 15 or so years ago. I enjoyed the visit and sharing stories of our younger years. My thoughts are with the family. I will miss you, my friend.

Brian I will always cherish our fun times in Mendon. Cousin you will be missed and in my heart until we meet again.

I knew Brian from hanging out with him at the OKCA knife shows. I considered him a friend even though we really didn't know each other that well. He was passionate about his knives and enthusiastic about life in general. I will miss not seeing him next April.

Brian was my best friend for nearly 40 years. He walked with me and provided great comfort through some very difficult times. Always willing to listen and help in any way, freely sharing his time, talents, money and down to earth common sense wisdom. Always encouraging and supportive. I am a better person because of our friendship.

Condolences to Brian's family. Words are poor medicine for a grieving heart. I knew Brian through a knife forum and enjoyed his gentle and knowledgeable conversations. I once sent him a piece of ivory as a gift and part of it came back in a much different shape. I treasure it. God bless you who are left to carry on with out him.

I knew Brian through his passion for collecting fine pocket knives and his ivory carving artistry shared through AAPK. Brian was appreciative of the nice things that fellow collectors would say about him and his pocket knives. Brian was benevolent and it was his way of saying how grateful he was for the monthly knife give-a-ways and the knife bombs that he received from numerous members. Brian will be sorely missed and leaves a void that cannot be filled. Godspeed.
