In Loving Memory of Mary Jane Fallon
Mary Jane Fallon passed away on September 28th, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in Renton, WA on March 31st, 1947, to Stanley and Mollie Lakie. Mary was affectionately known as 'MJ' to her beloved older sisters, Joann and Lois.
Mary met her husband of 57 years, Michael, at Alki Beach in the summer of 1965. They would wed on June 22nd, 1968 and lived much of their lives in Bellevue, WA, with their two children, Kelly and Christopher.
Mary was always smiling or laughing, particularly when she was with her sisters. She loved to sing, especially Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles, and Johnny Mathis Christmas carols. Her hobbies included playing card games and Trivial Pursuit with friends, and telling animated stories with her signature laughter that carried through every room of the house. Mary loved hosting family holiday dinners and was an avid cook, with a flair for making every meal delightful. She and Mike both had a penchant for doing yard work together just about any sunny weekend.
Mary was also heavily involved with the local PTA program for the Bellevue School District for the entirety of both of her children's curriculum, and worked primarily for the schools for much of her life.
Mary was an avid local sports fan, and would eagerly root for the Seahawks, UW Huskies, and Mariners -- all while playing games of solitaire or solving newspaper puzzles.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her by her kind nature, bright smile, and impeccable sense of direction. She is survived by her husband, Mike; sister, Lois; daughter, Kelly and her husband, Dennis; grandson, Andrew; son, Chris; niece, Denise, and her husband Danny, son, Cameron.
A celebration of Mary's life will be held on Thursday, October 23rd at 11am, at St. Louise Church, located at 141 156th Ave SE. Bellevue, WA, 98007.
All who knew Mary are welcome to attend and remember & honor the remarkable wife & mother she was.
