In loving memory of Adam Scott Myers
My heart holds the memory of my best friend and life partner, Adam Myers -- the person who made my world feel full, loud, bright, and alive. Adam passed away in my arms on January 18 after fighting cancer with a strength that still leaves me in awe. Even in the hardest moments, he never stopped being himself: stubborn in the best way, full of fire, and always ready with a joke or a smile that could pull me back into the light.
Adam wasn't just someone you met -- he was someone you felt. He moved through life with this wild, electric energy that made people want to be near him. His humor, his warmth, his free spirit... he had a way of making every room, every day, every moment feel bigger. He loved the ocean like it was a part of him -- powerful, restless, beautiful -- and in so many ways, it was.
Adam was also a die hard Philadelphia Eagles fan -- not casually, not quietly, but with his whole heart. Game days were sacred. He lived for the highs, survived the lows, and celebrated every win like he was right there on the field. He knew the stats, the players, the history, and he carried that passion with pride. Anyone who knew him could hear his voice shouting "Fly Eagles Fly."
He loved his people fiercely. His family, his friends, the ones he chose and the ones who chose him back. He loved me with his whole heart, told me I was beautiful almost every day, hello's and goodbyes were always with a kiss and he'd say "Love you babe". We shared a bond with a mix of love, friendship, mischief, music, food, laughter, and that quiet understanding that comes when two souls just recognize each other. He was my partner in crime, my safe place, my favorite person to do absolutely nothing with.
Adam took immense pride in being a plumber. It wasn't just work to him -- it was a craft, a challenge, a way to connect with people. He built friendships everywhere he went, and he valued every single one. His work ethic, his loyalty, his determination... they were woven into who he was.
He lived boldly and loved with his whole heart. He made the world better simply by being in it, and he made my world something I'll never be able to put into words. His strength, his humor, his spirit -- they're not gone. They're carried in every person who loved him, in every story, every laugh, every memory that refuses to fade.

I met Adam as a Plumber, but he quickly became a lot more to me than just a coworker or a boss. I’ll never forget the first day I showed up to his place for work and was nervous and uncomfortable in this new line of work but he invited me inside and told me to make myself at home. The amount of genuine generosity he showed me that day changed my life forever. He didn’t just teach me the trade, he thought me how to be a caring, thoughtful, passionate person.
He always called all of his friends on their birthday. In a world of selfishness, and negitivity, he ALWAYS made it a part of his routine to reach out and check on you at least one day a year. It seems like such a small thing. I always thought it was weird but I just didn’t understand it at the time. It wasn’t about him, it never was. And that’s who he is, someone that wanted everyone he knew to enjoy their life and be happy.
No matter how bad of a day we had or how long we worked, or how many times I broke the exact thing we were sent out to fix he ended everyday by telling me “Thank’s for your hard work and dedication today bro!”. This always stuck with me and always will. Just to remind the people around you that you appreciate them.
This breaks all of our hearts because there isn’t a worse thing that could happen to a better person. But he fought, and he was strong, and he showed up to work in the darkest of times because Adam truly loved what he did in all aspects of life.
Adam you will never be forgotten, I love the hell out of you and I hope heaven looks a lot like Hawaii
One of my most cherished memories will always be me alone, in a state I didnt even live in yet, and enjoying music. Waiting in line an enthusiastic stranger sparked a conversation with me and was genuinely interested in what I was saying. When I told him I was by myself on my birthday he bought me a tshirt and said you’re not alone anymore! He had me come hang out with him and his family and that night I gained Adam as my first friend and got the pleasure of knowing him, Brandi, Taylor, Kaitlynne, and Rowan. You all are forever in my heart and Adam’s kind and loving spirit will live on forever. Sending you all love, support, and the weight of sound. 💕
