1972-2025

William Matthew "Matt" Morgan was born in San Francisco and raised in the Bay Area. After graduating from Serra High School in San Mateo, he earned a B.A. in English from the University of San Diego and later completed a master's degree in Library and Information Science at San Jose State University.

He devoted much of his professional life to working in the Bay Area technology sector before relocating to Seattle, Washington, where he spent his most recent years.

Matt loved traveling, especially to Scotland. He enjoyed concerts and hockey games, collected animation art, and took great interest in researching his family's history. He had a special place in his heart for dogs, most of all his beloved rescue, Sasha.

Matt was predeceased by his parents, and is survived by his sister, Mary; his brother-in-law, Jeff; two nieces; and a wide circle of extended family and friends.

He will be greatly missed, and remembered always for his kindness, generosity, sharp intellect, and witty sense of humor.
