Mrs. Michelle Lynn "Mimi" Kihn (Cain)'s Story

1954 - 2026

Age 71

Burien, Washington

Mrs. Michelle Lynn "Mimi" Kihn (née Cain), aged 71, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, in Burien, Washington. Born on March 13, 1954, in Omak, Washington, Michelle lived a life enriched by her love for nature, family, and meaningful connections.

Michelle was the devoted wife of the late Allen Richard Kihn, who preceded her in death in July 2020. Together, they shared a life filled with love and adventure, raising their daughter Lori and creating countless cherished memories. For over 45 years, the family embraced the beauty of Washington state through camping and hiking trips. Tent camping became a beloved tradition for Michelle, Allen, and Lori--a way to bond while exploring the forests near Seattle and beyond.

Michelle's passion for the outdoors was a defining part of her life. She found joy in wandering local parks, setting up camp under the stars, and appreciating the simple beauty of nature. Her adventurous spirit and appreciation for life's small pleasures left an indelible mark on those who knew her.

Known for her warm demeanor and genuine kindness, Michelle had an extraordinary ability to brighten any room she entered. Whether through heartfelt conversations or a cheerful smile, she touched the lives of many with her compassion and warmth.

Michelle also shared a special bond with her bird, Casey, who had been her faithful companion since 2016. Casey often accompanied her on outings to parks and camping trips, adding to the joy of her outdoor adventures.

She is survived by her loving daughter Lori; her older brother David; David's wife; and their children. Her family will forever treasure the memories of her laughter, kindness, and unwavering love.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 28, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church SeaTac, located at 19030 8th Ave S. Those attending are encouraged to share memories of Michelle during the service.

May Michelle's memory bring comfort to all who knew her and inspire others to embrace life with warmth and an open heart.
