Daniel Wittman, born on January 12th, 1966, in Seattle, WA passed away peacefully at his home. He was smart, courageous and kind and was loved by all who knew him.
Dan, was a responsible husband, father and friend whose calm and steady presence grounded everyone who knew him. He loved his work as an IT manager, working with his team, and solving problems with patience and creativity. He could fix anything from a complex network to an old radio and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with his kids.
Dan graduated from PLU and met the love of his life at Lancaster University in England where he studied for a year. They were married for over 30 years and enjoyed life together. Dan adored his family and found happiness in the simple things- tinkering in the garage with his cars, radios, and computers; camping and kayaking with his family; working out with friends, sitting around the campfire listening to music and walking the beautiful Northwest trails. He also enjoyed traveling to the UK, France and Italy, and had hoped to spend more time there in retirement.
Dan had a great dry sense of humor and was kind and caring to everyone who was lucky enough to get to know him. Although his life was cut short, his impact will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Dan is preceded in death by his dad Jerry. He is survived by his wife, Elena, his son Alex, his daughter Sophie, his mom Nina, his stepdad Al, his brothers Jeff and Paul and his stepmom Dorothy as well as many other family members who will miss him too.
We will cherish the good memories, and the profound impact he had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
