Roderick "Wayne" Carter, a beloved husband, son, father, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away November 3, 2026, at his home in Bothell, Washington, following the effects of a brain aneurysm. He was 79 years old.

Wayne was born on January 12, 1947, in Vancouver, Canada to Rod and Dot Carter. Wayne was preceded in death by Rod, his sister Gloria and son-in-law Parrish Lockwood.

As a young man Wayne enlisted in the Army and served during the Vietnam War.

Above all, Wayne was a remarkable father to his four children Debbie Lockwood, Donna Perkins (Troy), Thomas Carter (April), Cassandra Schneider (Kyle) and step daughter Timi Ayala (Gabe).

Wayne had ten grandchildren Ashley, Jordynn, Taylore, Wyatt, Willow, Aubrey, Cole, Nicholas, Jack and Emma. He also had three great grandchildren Bentlee, Jade and Caiden.

Wayne also leaves behind his loving wife and partner of many years, Su his sister Allie Saunders (Darrell) and his mother Dot.

Wayne found great joy and camaraderie on the greens of the Oasis Country Club in Palm Desert. He was also an enthusiastic hunter and fisherman.

Wayne's warmth, strength, sense of humor and devotion to his family will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 12th at Scott's Bar and Grill in Edmonds, WA.
